Beginner Ocean Cheese Board Class

In this class you will:

  • Discover your inner creative as you are encouraged through each step of instruction by our skilled instructors
  • Choose your own bamboo cheese board – round or rectangle to create on
  • Develop your artistic skill, even if you’ve never done anything like this before
  • Design your own unique ocean-themed cheese board – created 100% by you…we are simply your guide!
  • Learn how to work with epoxy resin
  • Learn how to master ocean wave lacing
  • Develop the confidence to do more epoxy resin projects on your own!

What can I expect when I arrive at the studio?

  • Our art studio is located at The Mariposa Farmhouse in Historic Alpine, CA. The property abuts the Cleveland National Forest – you will be met with the calm and serenity needed for your inner creative to flourish.
  • As your instructor begins preparing participant stations for class, attendees can begin enjoying a light charcuterie spread and refreshments set upon boards that will be similar to those you will be creating in class.
  • Your instructor will go over each item at your station and explain your materials and how the class will flow.
  • You will be shown step-by-step how to use epoxy resin and how to blend pigments to achieve a stunning ocean scene on your bamboo board.
  • Instruction will take 1.5 to 2.0 hours to complete.
  • Boards can be picked up one week after your scheduled class – as they need time to cure and harden.
